General information
Please note that Educatia 21 Journal is published only in English, twice a year, and it accepts the following papers types: research based studies and review article (systematic reviews - syntheses of literature or meta-analyses). Research based studies should present the following general structure: Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Theoretical foundation, Research methodology, Results, Discussions, Conclusions, Acknowledgements (optional), Authors note, Appendixes (optional) and References. For the review articles (systematic reviews - syntheses of literature or meta-analyses) the structure is free. The authors decide on its format, but all the papers should have, beyond abstract and keywords, an introduction and conclusions.
Educatia 21 Journal considers all manuscripts on the strict condition that:
- the manuscript is your own original work, and does not duplicate any other previously published work, including your own previously published work;
- the manuscript has been submitted only to Educatia 21 Journal; it is not under consideration or peer review or accepted for publication or in press or published elsewhere;
- the manuscript is the single submission of an author for one issue.
Text processing guidelines
- Manuscripts must be only in Word file format;
- The text will be edited with Times New Roman (TNR) font, size 12, single line spacing and justified;
- The abstract must not include citations;
- Paragraphs are indented and are only separated by headings, subheadings, images, tables, equations or formulas. Leave 6 pt spacing before and after paragraphs;
- Section headings are numbered consecutively, starting with the Introduction and ending with the Conclusions. First level section headings (ex.: 1. Introduction)should be not indented, bolded and written with the first letter capitalized. Second level section headings should be in capital (first letter) and lower-case, numbered 1.1., 1.2. and indented. Third level section headings should be in capital (first letter) and lower-case, in italic text, numbered 1.1.1., 1.1.2. and indented;
- To avoid technical editing errors you are strongly advised to use the grammar proofing tool of MS Word, without understanding that this is enough. Using proofreading services is also recommended for authors are non-native English speakers. This will help avoiding negative comments from reviewers or delays in the review process;
- Bulleted lists may be included and should be used in the journal style (square bullet);
- Do not use footnotes.
Quantitative considerations of the content
- The abstract length must be between 100 and 250 words;
- Manuscripts must have between 3-7 keywords, listed in alphabetical order, separated by commas and without ending punctuation after the final keyword;
- The content of the manuscript must have a minimum of 3.000 words (excluding figures and tables), but not more than 9.000 words;
- Each author note must be limited at 150 words.
Tables and figures
- Authors should limit their manuscripts to no more than 7 figures and tables (in total), with data strictly confirming the assumptions from which they started;
- All tables and figures should be numbered, separate, with Arabic numerals, size 9;
- Every table and figure should have their own caption;
- Left-align the numbered element and the caption above the table or figure, with the element number (e.g., Table 1 or Figure 1) write in bold font and on the first line and the caption on a second line;
- All tables and figures must be referred in the manuscript and titled in relation to the type of the element and their number. The use of expressions like "above" and "below" is not allowed when referring to tables and figures, because this elements can be moved within the text, by the executive editor, during the editing process;
- Only horizontal lines should be used within a table, to distinguish the column headings from the body of the table, and immediately above and below the table. which the authors may find useful;
- All photographs, schemas, graphs and diagrams are to be referred to as figures;
- Line drawings should be good quality scans or true electronic output. Low-quality scans are not acceptable;
- If the paper includes large tables or figures, it is recommended to place this elements in the Appendix.
References
- References must be listed at the end of the paper, using APA 7 Style. For more information please consult the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Seventh Edition (APA 7, 2020) or check the references style in our previously published articles;
- Authors should ensure that every reference in the text appears in the list of references and vice versa;
- For non-English titles, English versions must be mentioned in square brackets.
